" … it always give’s me the greatest of pleasure to write notes to Greenock about the superlative support we have received, and this one is no different. Andrew Makin came on to support our ACE application in the beginning of the year and has been absolutely phenomenal, first picking up and understanding the Special Bids Business Process this application supports, and then working with other IBM application developer’s to enable our new application, ACE2, to have the ability to inherit data and create work queue’s for those responsible for action. As we developed the ACE 2 requirements he continued to support the now "legacy" version and the business process. He worked through the deployment of the GNA process (no mean feat), and with a lot of testing, changes, questions, and tenacity; culminated the year’s efforts in the successful migration of the application into Notes 4 and the GNA environment with the minimum of disruption to the User Community.
When the GNA deployment process delayed our roll out, Andrew redirected his talents and produced the Change Management System that we are using to document and control the roll out of changes to the Global Priority Supply Application. As this is generic IT control process, I suspect the fruits of his labour will have a long life within Greenock.
Throughout all of this, Andrew has been the consummate professional in working with everyone and making people think clearly about how they wanted the new application to look, feel and perform. Simply, he’s been great, and I just wanted you and his management chain to know that. Please let his firm know that there is a more than satisfied end user who does appreciate the talent and dedication of this fine gentleman."
